Covid-19 made the world a different place from a financial and economic point of view. Many people lost their jobs or hours are cut. In these times, people are doing whatever necessary to make ends meet.

A friend of mine, who lost his job at a car dealership, is staying optimistic. He is a Uber Eats delivery driver. To learn from him, I accompanied him yesterday on this gig. After 5 hours, I thought to myself that this gig is not bad at all. Maybe I should follow my friend’s lead.

Out of 5 hours of total driving time, 3 hours were actually spent completing the deliveries, while 2 hours were waiting for new orders. In those 3 hours, 11 deliveries were made. The most exciting part was that my friend made a whopping $130 ($82 from Uber and $48 from tips). That’s $26/hour. NOT BAD!

A job that pays above minimum wage is a dream for entry-level job seekers. No interview or experience is needed. You don’t need to prove anything to anyone or follow someone’s orders. You only need two things — dedication and a car/bike.
